3 More polish, keep the pad wet.

5 Cleaning the pad on the bottom edge.

6 Clean the pad by placing the edge of something against the pad for a few seconds.

7 In pinch for a bonnet you can drape a small towel over the old one.

9 You can use a wash cloth. They work but it can be time consuming.

11 Work the buffer back and forth. for a few minutes.

12 Follow the diamond patern.

15 The metal should be very dark in color while working the buffer.

20 Some times just a bare finger works.

29 Wipe it off with a clean rag, check progress, looking better, if it's not good enough. Repeat the process.

30 If you do get the buffer into the paint, a dab of polish on a clean rag will take it off.
